2024 Evanston Kidical Mass is proudly organized as part of Downtown Evanston's new collaboration with the Evanston Transit Alliance and Chicago Family Biking/Evanston Kidical Mass.
Kidical Mass is a hyperlocal family-friendly bike ride that is perfect for meeting neighbors, riding with kids as cargo, and for new two wheeled riders (training wheels not recommended). Bring the little ones and join us for a bike ride tailored for all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. We'll cruise through Evanston's charming streets, creating lasting memories, and promoting a love for cycling among the next generation. These family excursions are free of charge—just bring your helmets and let's roll! REGISTER HERE so that we know how many riders to expect on this date.
Start: This ride will leave from Raymond Park at 10:15AM (please arrive at 10:00AM to get situated)
The Evanston Parks & Recreation Department will be on-site with free giveaways for riders, as well as information on local bike routes and general bike safety!
From 9:15-10:15AM, Wheel & Sprocket will be offering free bike inspections and safety tune-ups!

All Evanston rides are free, but participants should register to get ride updates and help organizers get an approximate head-count. Helmets are required on all rides.
GETTING THERE:
Downtown Evanston is easily accessible by bike, bus or train! If you're driving into Downtown Evanston with your bike for one of the adult rides, we recommend parking in the Sherman Plaza Self Park garage--it's only a block away from Fountain Square.
